Forum for Sustainable transport is a collaboration between the five major buyers of transport and the Swedish Transport Administration. The group has worked to raise awereness of environmental and road safety in transport procurement and wants to spread this to all who procure and sell transportation. The work has, among other things, resulted in a procurement tool Systole.

Sustainable transportion is a part of corporate social responsibility. The requirements of Systole are based on he Forum for Sustainable Transportes vision for a sustainable transport: "Our road transports are conducted in a safe, environmentally and efficient manner and will never give rise to injury. Our proactive work speeds up progress in the transport sector. "

The requirements are objective-to seven levels. There will be a number of advantages of creating long-term perspective in pursuit of the objectives defined. It gives especially good anticipation that the transporter knows what he has to aim for. It also gives the buyer the opportunity to reflect on what he can contribute to, thus enabling the desired goal.
